This church was founded in the year 2001 under the mandate of the Lord to come and establish a church and ministry here in Colebrook. I was not looking for another thing to do, as I was extremely busy at that time. I was traveling full time, as I had just been released out from the church my husband Charles and I founded in 1984 in southern NH. We were very active there and I had been Associate Pastor for 9 years, and then Missions Pastor for 6 years when the Lord released me to travel full time as a Conference Minister. My husband handled many affairs of the church and was a tremendous support to the Sr. Pastor; we had hired to run the church.

Our church released us with their blessing and supported us to start this traveling ministry. We traveled and ministered both here and abroad, and then in 1999 we established Shirley Stevens Ministries where we would be able to do more things in greater measure than before.

Then we were prepared to come to Colebrook, NH to plant another church. It was a shock to me as that was not my plan or even a desire. But with obedience we came and established a Tent Crusade and then a church. We have been here for 6 ½ years and have seen many come to salvation and baptized with the Holy Spirit. We have seen the youth get on fire for the Lord and come out of drugs and alcohol, and begin to put their lives back together again.

We continue to bring in speakers and ministry gifts that we believe will edify the body of Christ and allow them to fulfill their destiny. Every person on the face of this earth has been given a destiny to follow, but first they need to know that, and second they need the support to follow their dream and their calling.

We will be leaving in October for a Missions trip in Nairobi, Kenya and we are taking three of our youth with us, where they will be helping to Evangelize on the Streets and lead people to Christ. We are taking a 6-member team and we will be holdin crusades in the slums of Kibera.

We are at this point looking to see where the Lord would have us to settle permanently. We are looking for land to build or a building to renovate into a Church. We know that He had a plan for us and we desire to hear His voice and obey His direction in this matter.
